The Kitchen [Next Door] Review
G and I were hungry for lunch one day in Boulder after a day of strolling Pearl Street. We stumbled upon The Kitchen [Next Door] and decided to give it a whirl.
It was a Sunday afternoon so the place was fairly tame. We took a seat near the front facing windows. Sadly, things were off to a rough start, my lovely looking alcoholic drink was faaaaaar too strong, so strong I couldn’t...

La'au's Taco Shop Review
G and I were wanting to try something different for dinner…I quickly referred to my list of local places I’ve been wanting to try. We settled on La’au’s Taco Shop which is located on The Hill in Boulder.
This is a no-frills taco joint so don’t expect everything to be glamorous; there will be the occasional napkin on the floor or a whole trash can filled with Pabst...

Great News!
Great news on Colorado House Bill 1027: It’s passed the House of Representatives!! Next stop: the Senate. If it passes there, it’s on its way to becoming law!! Hooray! We’re half way there to having our very own Cottage food law!
In its honor, I just might bake a cupcake! With extra sprinkles.

Butter and sugar sky
OMG OMG…
Am I really seriously considering pastry school?!?! Scary yet thrilling at the same time, kind of like sky diving. Except tasty sky diving, filled with butter and sugar…while wearing a chef’s coat. I guess this means I can also give up dieting, like forever. How can you possibly fathom such a thing when surrounded by croissants and chocolate all day?
I guess...

Seeing this video makes me want to return to Paris, buy un croissant, buy glorious French food au marché, and revel being in the presence of all things French.

Japanese Food →
A great website (click on post title) that provides insight into Japanese culture and food. I don’t know why, but I seem to have an interest in Japanese culture lately…maybe because I love sushi so much and because I’d like to try learning Japanese?

Holiday Sunday for me meant: Lingering amongst the skyscrapers and holiday shoppers downtown, football on TV, eggnog lattes, naps, cheeseboards for lunch, blankets and being cozy, pork roast with vegetables and all the trimmings, and Christmas movies.
Lazy Sunday means: Chronicles of Narnia, cupcakes (baker’s dozen), Red Vines, and all things crazy delicious!!
Either kind of...

Amazing lunch boxes and a love for PB →
I know that Bento boxes have been all the rage lately here in the US of A. I think my own lunches as a kid were a far cry from the ones shown in this video (click on title of post). As a kid, I was much less culturally diverse and aware than I am now as an adult.
See Just Bento for some awesome ideas and photo credit.
I do remember a lot of peanut butter and jelly…Mmmm….PB...
